From September 25 to September 27, the 29th Kazakhstan International “Oil & Gas” Exhibition and Conference (KIOGE 2024) was successfully held at the Atakent Exhibition Center in Almaty. As an important oil exhibition in Central Asia, KIOGE has attracted over 400 exhibitors from around the world, including more than 60 Chinese exhibitors, as well as well-known oil companies in Central Asia such as KAZMUNAIGAZ, QAZAQGAZ, SOCAR, SHELL, LUKOIL, etc.

In the exploration and development of coalbed methane, nuclear magnetic resonance technology is mainly used for laboratory testing and interpretation of reservoir core characteristics, including lithology, physical properties, oil, gas and water properties, etc., and providing key parameters for reservoir assessment. However, it requires a long period of time to take the core back from the site and analyze it in the laboratory, and some parameters (such as oil and gas loss rate) are variable during this process, which results in differences from the original state and affects the accuracy of subsequent reservoirs and production parameters assessment. In addition, the laboratory equipment is large and expensive, and the means of timely reservoir assessment or providing assessment related parameters for on-site logging are relatively limited. So there is an urgent need for a portable device and application technology suitable for on-site and real-time analysis of rock cores (cuttings).

Recently, based on the “new energy strategy” layout and combined with its own and industry resource endowments, Shanghai Shenkai Energy Technology Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as “Shenkai Energy Technology”), a wholly-owned subsidiary of Shanghai Shenkai Petroleum & Chemical Equipment Co., Ltd. signed an equity transfer agreement with Shanghai Haojun Venture Capital Partnership (Limited Partnership) (hereinafter referred to as “Haojun Venture Capital”) and Hanhydrogen Power (Zhuhai) Technology Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as “Hanhydrogen Power”, “target company”), and Shenkai Energy Technology invested 9.46 million yuan to acquire 3.7847% of the equity held by Haojun Venture Capital of the target company. At this point, Shenkai has completed its equity investment in Hanhydrogen Power, marking its official entry into the hydrogen energy race.

The 54th Offshore Technology Conference (OTC) was held at the NRG PARK International Exhibition Center in Houston, USA, from May 6 to May 9 local time. This event has received positive response from the industry, with over 1300 stands set up by enterprises and institutions from over 40 countries and regions, including 50 Chinese enterprises and well-known foreign enterprises such as Schlumberger, Baker Hughes, Saudi Aramco, etc. As a petroleum equipment enterprise that has been deeply involved in the petroleum industry for 30 years, Shenkai has attended the exhibition for 16 consecutive years. Looking back to 2023, in the while drilling engineering service projects located in Changhe Block, Yan’an, Shaanxi, Shenkai’s MWD instruments and LWD logging instruments have won the trust of customers from internationally renowned logging and oil service technology companies for their reliability and well inclination azimuth measurement values, high precision in measuring absolute values (including ordinary gamma GR, azimuth gamma AGR, compensation resistivity CTF-6.75 and 4.75), significant geological guidance effect and the adaptability and reliability of all while drilling instruments to harsh drilling conditions (high vibration, well leakage, plugging agents, high torque, high erosion, etc.).

Recently, Shanghai Shenkai Petroleum Equipment Co., Ltd. received approved letter from Kuwait Oil Company (KOC) stating that Shenkai’s 10Kpsi well control products have passed the qualification review and successfully obtained the supplier qualification for network access of KOC. This marks that Shenkai’s well control products can fully participate in Kuwait’s deep workover and drilling projects/deep well drilling projects.
