Recently, in the waters of the the Pearl River Mouth Basin, with the opening of the main and auxiliary regulators of the Christmas tree of well A1H on the “Haiji-1” platform, Asia’s first deepwater jacket platform has been officially and successfully put into operation, marking the successful opening of a new mode of oil and gas development for deepwater fixed platforms in China, which is of great significance to promote the increase of offshore oil and gas reserves and production, and to ensure national energy security. As a long-term partner of CNOOC, the Wellhead Branch of Shanghai Shenkai Petroleum Equipment Co., Ltd. has undertaken the wellhead equipment used on this platform.

The product configuration of this project is developed, designed and manufactured based on the actual operating conditions of the user, which is further optimized based on the performance of previous offshore wellhead equipment to achieve “three major” innovations in structure---optimization of lifting position, optimization of bottom wellhead centralizer, and optimization of casing hanger suspension performance. The optimized device has a compact structure, and an universal lifting device is used in areas with high platform space requirements to ensure successful installation of the whole machine; a centralizer is designed at the bottom of the wellhead device to ensure installation without deviation and improve installation efficiency; the structure of the casing hanger is optimized, and the suspension capacity is enhanced to avoid “sliding sleeve”.

This wellhead device is successfully applied on the “Haiji-1” platform, which is a typical case of adaptation to the market demand and user-oriented product promotion by the Wellhead Branch of Shanghai Shenkai Petroleum Equipment Co., Ltd.
