In March 2023, Shanghai Shenkai Petroleum & Chemical Equipment Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as “Shenkai”), a wholly-owned subsidiary of Shanghai Sk Petroleum & Chemical Equipment Corporation Ltd., successfully won the bid for the “5+1” shallow well comprehensive logging service project in Kuwait. In the middle of April, Wang Min, general manager of Shenkai, led his team to Kuwait to sign a comprehensive logging service contract with Kuwait Oil Company (KOC), with a contract amount of about 200 million yuan. It marks a significant breakthrough for Shenkai in the overseas market in the post-pandemic era.

It takes Shenkai nearly a year to organize and plan the service project, establish a bidding team, and participate in formal biding. Shenkai finally stood out from the world famous oil service companies including GEOLOG, Baker Hughes, Halliburton, Schlumberger, as well as domestic well-known companies such as Sinopec and PetroChina, and won the bid with the first overall score ranking. 

During the operation of this project, all Shenkai logging products will be used, marking another exciting debut of Shenkai’s products in the international market.

As for various drilling and complex geological conditions on site, Shenkai, supported by technical research, will provide: 

1、A complete set of solutions for comprehensive mud logging based on intelligent cloud platform

In response to the market demand for increased efficiency in oil and gas exploration, and in conjunction with the development of horizontal drilling technology, Shengkai provides corresponding logging equipment for shale gas, shale oil, coalbed methane, tight sandstone gas, and other formations with different characteristics. This equipment is designed to adapt to various situations, such as single well operations, platform operations with multiple wells, batch operations with multiple drilling rigs, and well bore trajectory control. The equipment meets technical, personnel, site, installation, quality, and safety requirements.

2、Chromatographic Mud Logging Solution

In order to identify thinner oil and gas reservoirs, with the drilling speed increasing, the resolution of the formation can be improved by shortening the chromatographic analysis cycle. To reduce pipeline latency, the chromatograph is moved from the instrument room to near the vibrating screen for explosion-proof analysis near the wellhead. For heavy oil reservoirs and identification of reservoirs containing water, online continuous analysis of light hydrocarbons can be provided.

3、Drilling Safety Monitoring Solution

Shenkai provides various models of drilling parameter instruments, as well as online well bore fluid level monitoring instruments, and early warning well influx and well leak monitoring systems, to achieve early detection of various accidents such as well influx and well leak, ensuring the safety of drilling construction in complex formations such as high temperature, high pressure, and sulfur-containing carbonate formations.

4、Mud Logging Services

For years, the company has accumulated rich experience through years of instrument manufacturing and oilfield field service, which enable it to provide more than 10 kinds of characteristic technical services, such as differential chromatography, formation fluid analysis and horizontal well geo-steering, etc., solving the problems of logging in complex oil and gas formations with high temperature, high pressure and sulfur.
